In 1999, in a garage in southern Sweden, the entrepreneurial Wikstrφm family began researching and mixing ingredients for hair care products. Inspired by the founder's great-grandmother, Ann, Maria Nila, who had great respect for the planet and animals, the brand's philosophy was born: to offer the world vegan and environmentally friendly beauty products.
Today, Maria Nila has left the garage and is present in over 45 countries on 3 continents. The brand is working towards its vision of sustainable beauty and continues to move the industry in the right direction. It does this by developing 100% vegan products with thoughtful active ingredients and using CO₂-compensated packaging. Maria Nila is working towards a friendlier future and all her products are certified by PETA, The Leaping Bunny, Vegan Society and Plan Vivo.
